COMITÉ SPÉLÉOLOGIQUE DÉPARTEMENTAL DE MEURTHE-ET-MOSELLE
Villers-lès-Nancy, in Meurthe-et-Moselle, is home to the Comité Spéléologique Départemental de Meurthe-et-Moselle. The committee's aim is to promote caving in the department and coordinate speleological activities. It also manages scientific research and the protection of the underground world, and organizes caving-related events. To improve communication within the caving community, the committee has created a quarterly newsletter called SIMM. This journal provides federal, local and regional information to cavers in the département. It also enables cavers to share local information and get involved in caving life in the département. The committee is looking for volunteers to help set up a website presenting the CDS-54 and to keep the SIMM journal alive. Finally, the committee provides financial support for caving club activities aimed at a wider public.
