FESTIVAL DU FILM ITALIEN DE VILLERUPT

The festival celebrated its 40 th ^{edition in 2017. This unavoidable demonstration in Villerupt (north of the department) derives its origins from the local MJC film project, which founded the event in 1976. Villerupt and its surrounding areas with a large population of Italian origin, the festival has been successful. Every year, tens of thousands of spectators attend a selection of Italian films. For the latest edition, the theme was «Italian cinema that wins», thus constituting a kind of tribute to transalpine films that have been successful in the past. As a reward, various juries award the Amilcar, named to the festival trophies, to their heartbeat.}
