FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL DU FILM ITALIEN

Created in 1976, the festival celebrated its 42nd edition in 2019. This year, the festival will take place from 23 October to 8 November with a programme available on the site. The success of Italian cinema in France at that time and the presence of a strong transalpine community in the region since the beginning of the 20th century, which came for the exploitation of the iron mines, is the reason for this initiative. Thanks to its success, this festival has been going on ever since and is now a major cultural event in the region every autumn. For two weeks, it presents films released during the year, but also great classics or more confidential works. A festival that strives to take a tour of Italian film culture. But Italy is not only present in the cinemas, it goes out into the streets and meets the public: music, exhibitions, not forgetting, of course, gastronomic tastings. Every year, an international and professional jury rewards the winners.
