CHAUBET MUSEUM SPACE
Space presenting in an educational and human way the life of soldiers during the First World War
Created jointly by the Communauté de communes du Lunévillois and the Souvenir Français, the Chaubet museum space includes a scenographic space, a projection room and an exhibition area. Its aim is to present in an educational and resolutely humane manner the life of soldiers during the First World War and more specifically during the Battle of Leomont which ravaged the area in the summer of 1914. The projection room broadcasts a very complete documentary film, while the museum offers a hundred or so objects found on the very site of the Battle of Leomont, and others directly related to the terrible fighting in the summer of 1914. As for the multimedia area, it allows you to deepen your visit by discovering excellent sites devoted to the First World War. This museum space bears the name of a soldier of the 81st Infantry Regiment who lost his life during the Battle of Leomont. A true place of remembrance that is indispensable to a better understanding of this dark period in our history. Know that this place is one of the various sites selected to be classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the volunteers of the French Remembrance are at your disposal to accompany you.
