The building, disproportionate to the size of Avioth, is also nicknamed the Cathedral of the Fields. In 1993, John Paul II raised it to the rank of basilica. Built after the discovery of a black virgin (one of the rare ones of the Grand-Est), the site is a place of very frequented pilgrimage (on July 16th). One can also admire a unique construction in the world, La Recevresse (flamboyant gothic). Every third Sunday of July is usually organized a fair for craftsmen.

vous êtes de passage et chercher le soir un parking, juste à l'entrée de ce petit village un emplacement pour un ou 2 véhicules ( sans services). Pour nuit au calme.
