Civilian and military cemetery, on the long Pope Road, with numerous artistic and historical tombs
Established since 1850 along the chemin de Popey, the civil and military cemeteries preserve the memory of the town, its history and that of its inhabitants. Home to numerous artistic and historical tombs, many of these graves are remarkable and classified as historical monuments. Renowned sculptors sign their works inspired by Neo-Gothic, Romantic and religious allegory. Several have recently been restored. To the east, the military cemetery is home to over 3,000 other soldiers from the 14-18 war.
