Visit to discover a remarkable wind farm in Bar-le-Duc, along the Sacred Way, which has been in operation since 2007.
The department has 289 wind turbines spread over 48 farms for a power of 610.2 Mwatts! On the road towards Verdun, you will see one of the department's wind farms, along the Voie Sacrée, with wind turbines lined up on the hillside, commissioned in 2007. Managed by the company Vent d'Est, these wind farms are in line with the policy of sustainable development and preservation of the environment. These achievements have, of course, their detractors, which does not prevent the Meuse from holding its place in this field.
