FLORAINVILLE HOTEL
A hotel overlooking Saint-Pierre, witness to the city's past wealth, with balconies and iron railings
Built in the Renaissance in Savonnières stone for the de Florainville family, it became the property of the Baron de Meuse in the 17th century, then belonged to the State in the 13th century. It was enlarged and two balconies were added, the wrought-iron railings of which are attributed to Jean Lamour. The Latin motto "les hauts faits résonnent" was carved into the stone, and the arms of the Duchy of Bar replaced those of the former family. As the Cour d'Assise, it dominates the Place Saint-Pierre, bearing witness to the city's wealth of past centuries.
