COUNTESS'S HOUSE
House with many striking bas-reliefs, stained glass windows and small balconies
You'll have to look hard to find the famous Maison de la Comtesse! In a small street to the right of the Prefecture, the Countess's house is striking for its richly carved blue wooden facade. It features a number of stunning bas-reliefs, stained glass windows and small balconies. A wooden knight adorns the second floor, and a coat of arms the second. This curiosity, which blends Gothic and Renaissance art, was commissioned by a Parisian countess in the 19th century for one of her servants.
