THE BARNS
Les Grangettes, a street where, in the century, the barns of the mansions on Place Saint-Pierre were built one after the other.
This street takes its name from "Grangettes", a locality identified in the 15th century. It was once bordered by a fortification wall. At the time, the barns of the private mansions of Place Saint-Pierre were located here. In the 18th century, the Sisters of Christian Charity opened a spinning and weaving workshop, as well as teaching. The first textile factories were established in the following century, and the town took off. Today, the town is home to a succession of fine stone houses. This is also where you'll find the belvedere.
