Located in a brick building in the heart of the abbey, this press was still in operation at the end of the 19th century and required no less than four men to operate it. Classified as a historical monument thanks to a personal intervention by President Raymond Poincaré in 1926, it is one of the largest wine presses in Europe. The upper shaft alone is 11 m long, weighs nearly thirty tons and can press up to 3,000 kilos of grapes. On the adjoining wall, a fresco depicting Beaulieu-en-Argonne in 1789 was created in 2003 by Jean-Luc Rostoucher in memory of the abbey.
