Beaumont is an ancient village steeped in history, the scene of an intense battle during the Great War.
Founded in 324 as Beaumont, this village was the scene of intense battle during the Great War. Liberated in 1918, Beaumont was abandoned due to the after-effects of the war, becoming a red zone. The memory of the soldiers still lives on. Since 1932, every4th Sunday in September, during the patronal feast of Saint-Maurice, former residents and their families gather to honor their dead and remember their homeland.
