SAINT-DIDIER CHURCH
The church of Saint-Didier dominates the town of Clermont-en-Argonne. This magnificent building of flamboyant ogival style was built in the 16th century: the vault of the apse bears the date of 1530; the south portal, that of 1587. Inside, you will discover the stained glass windows by Jean-Jacques Gruber from 1936, the chapel of the Dead, a family burial ground founded in 1540 by Claude de la Vallée, the chapel known as "Saint-Roch" and the burial ground, a set of six statues including the Holy Woman with a bonnet, a 16th century sculpture attributed to Ligier Richier
