THE ORCHARDS OF COUSANCELLES
Biodynamiques since 1986, Véronique and Philippe Prot, producers next to Saint-Dizier in Haute-Marne, offer fruit from their orchards for the delight of fresh, healthy and natural enthusiasts. They sell their apples (25 different varieties), pears, grapes, peaches, cherries and even hazelnuts. A curiosity: the caseille comes from daddy cassis and mama redcurrant, which is turned into nectar and sherbet. All fruits of the Vergers orchards are found in a wide range of organic products: fruit juice, sorbets, jams, cider, purée and compotes but also delicious sparkling, to be discovered on site and to take away. For those who want to understand organic farming, guided tours of orchards are arranged by appointment. They have recently offered to manufacture compotes and juice for individuals and professionals and make their press available.
