LORRAINE HORSE MUSEUM
Near the Vosges, in one of the most wooded communes of the Meuse is the only museum in the Lorraine horse. It is in the enclosure of a former fort castle, in the upper town of Gondrecourt and which Richelieu ordered Destruction in 1633, that you can discover the different collections. In the proud Round Tower that has remained standing, we are aware of the driving force of the animal, its essential role in the culture of the land, in the army and in the crafts. We discover a multitude of objects devoted to the horse: stirrups, necklaces, jaws, stools of different eras and fers. See also: the work tools of the you-farriers and the bourrelier and the care room. Horse lovers will appreciate.
