LES ETANGS DE LACHAUSSEE

Since 2018, the unmissable Fish Festival has become the Great Autumn Fishing Festival. The name has changed but the event and the animations remain the same. An unmissable event for fishermen, gourmets and those who wish to enjoy a beautiful day on the edge of the Lachaussée pond, a delightful jewel of the Lorraine Regional Park. From mid-October to mid-November, the pond is emptied and thirty tons of fish are caught with a huge net. They are then sorted, sold or prepared on the spot. This is an opportunity to discover the gestures of the fishermen and the different species of fish in the pond: pike-perch, pike-perch, tench and very large carp, which can weigh up to 30 kilos! Catering on site and sale of local products at the estate's shop.
