Museum to discover the history of glass in Argonne, its remarkable productions, glassmakers' tools and original videos.
Come and discover the long history of glass in Argonne, its remarkable productions, the tools of glassmakers, original videos... A room is dedicated to the founder of the exhibition, François Jannin and the Verrerie des Islettes, the last one in operation in 1937 with its famous "L'Idéale" jars. Another is devoted to the daily use of glass by soldiers during the First World War and the impact of the conflict on the glass heritage of Argon. In addition to the permanent exhibition, temporary exhibitions are organized throughout the year as well as activities to discover the know-how of glassmakers on Sundays in July and August.
