CHAPEL OF OUR LADY OF THE DITCHES
In neo-Gothic style, with two strange gargoyles under the roof, this chapel houses a statue of the virgin that originally dominated Notre-Dame tower, one of the five towers of the castle enclosure. The castle was to be destroyed in 1763 and was moved to the chapel of this chapel. A stone-shaped stone poster was erected in the early th century with the aim of protecting it. With Our Lady of Virtues and Notre-Dame des Moulins, this is the third virgin of Ligny-en-Barrois. It would have been carried out by a local sculptor. The spring was used as a lavoir and fountain in the th century. It is assigned curative virtues for eye diseases, which explains many ex-voto. (Thank you offers). On the right of the chapel, you can see the base of Notre-Dame tower.
