History: The house was founded in 1950 under the name of the Compagnie des Bois de la Meuse, specialized in slicing from oak. A decade later, in Oevel, Belgium, the company Obiter specialized in slicing exotic wood was created. Will follow the manufacture of Oberflex panels with laminate natural wood. In 1984, the house was renamed Obiter. Takeover by the current leaders, Etienne de la Thébeaudière, Clément Lescanne and Gilles Vedel, in 2005. Launch of the Obiter Deck, a naval floor coating.
Specifications: All types of parquet flooring. The aesthetic qualities of Oberflex panels result from a rigorous selection of the finest wood essences from a global network of suppliers. The veneer sheets come from different slicing techniques: a neighbourhood or break down. Then they are sorted by color and jointées in different modes: cabinetmaking or massive, to give birth to products of the Oberflex range. Obiter Deck, wooden panels for boat bridges. Oberflex is PEFC certified that the wood used is from sustainably managed forests.
