THE HOUSE OF THE KNIGHT MICHEL
The Chevalier Michel house, a superb Renaissance mansion which preserves various elements of great interest in Marville
Despite extensive damage and alterations as a result of the world wars, this superb Renaissance hotel, partly listed, retains various features of great interest. Particularly its rear façade, well known for its elegant two-storey loggia. One can admire a fabulous sculpted decoration: Diana surprised in her bath by Actaeon, changed into a stag and pursued by dogs; Thisbe giving herself up to death on the body of Pyramus; the fairy-horse Bayard and the four Aymon sons.
