CREMON FOUNTAIN
The most impressive fountain of the village, a beautiful witness of the past and a perfect illustration of the rich heritage of Marville
The Fontaine du Crédon, also known as the Grande Fontaine, is the most important fountain in the village. The water comes from the Crédon spring to the south of the village. The fountain was built in 1727, when Louis XIV authorized logging. It was preserved from the ravages of time and war. Soldiers came here to cool off during times of conflict. Today, it remains a beautiful reminder of the past, and a perfect illustration of the rich heritage Marville offers its visitors.
