NOTRE DAME CHURCH
This church, built in Romanesque and Gothic styles, retains a high degree of architectural homogeneity
Built in Romanesque and Gothic styles with Cistercian influences, the church retains a high degree of architectural homogeneity. The crypt with columns topped by raised arches is the oldest part. The covered Gothic lateral portal, with its unique iconography, dates from the 13th century: it is the oldest in Lorraine to have preserved its statuary in its entirety. The medieval furnishings have been looted, but a 12th-century copy of the Sedes sapientiae, a 14th-century mural, an 18th-century pulpit and funerary slabs can still be admired.
