MAISON D'HÔTES DE SAINT VIDOU
Inn in the countryside of Bas Armagnac with relaxing rooms and a seasonal table d'hôte.
On the facade of this old hostel you can read: Tivoli 1836. No, you are not in a province of Rome but in the beautiful countryside of Bas Armagnac to be discovered thanks to the bicycle path. Since its origins, this hostel has been run by women. Aline saw Abbé Pierre and Edith Piaf staying in this beautiful building run by her grandmother, then by her mother and now hers. Because the respect of beings and objects is in her nature, Aline pampers her interior. 3 bedrooms have been redecorated, combining past and modernity (the bathrooms are new). The sunny yellow of the corridors and the wrought iron of the balusters give it a little air of Cocagne. The colours of the rooms, soft and fresh, promise you good moments of rest. After 40 years of cooking, it's impossible for Aline to forget the stove. On request, the table d'hôte is also attractive. The kitchen changes according to the season. Under the huge magnolia tree in front of the house, Aline likes to say that each tile tells her a story, a positive nostalgia that she will share with you (if you wish because she is very discreet) to continue to write the history of these places that are dear to her and which saw the passage of Abbe Pierre, Edith Piaf and Jacque Pills.
