SAINT MICHAEL'S CHURCH
The former abbey church, of the hall type, has kept its Romanesque porch tower. The 2 square towers flanking the beginning of the bedside give the building its characteristic silhouette. The nave, whose hanging keystone vault is supported by composite columns, receives abundant light. The furniture includes the Pâmoison de la Vierge in walnut from Ligier Richier, a 1608 funeral monument of his grandson Jean and 2 organs. The great organ (late 17th century) is one of the most beautiful in Europe with its richly decorated buffet and 2 independent pedal turrets. The choir, decorated with sculpted vaults, houses 80 stalls and woodwork from 1710.
