HOTEL DE ROUYN
Built around 1650, this particular hotel in the heart of the city serves as a home to Mr. de Rouÿn from the end of the th century and then to his offspring (General René Audeoud and the family of Chassey until today). A witness to the prosperity of the city of Saint-Mihiel at that time, the building adopted a provision in U, with an inner courtyard paved with river pebbles. Three bodies of buildings the courtyard of honor, closed by a monumental portal. The entrance porch is surmounted by a shell, symbolizing purity, surrounded by four spheres representing the universality of knowledge. This is a typical example of a th century hotel in Lorraine. The beautiful garden, fruit of a lifetime work, has a beautiful variety of plant species maintained with love and care by Mr. de Chassey. Flowering in turn, flowers preserve an intimate character perfectly suited to the elegance of the place.
