SAINT-MATHIEU CHURCH
Stainville is located at equal distance from Paris and Strasbourg (230 km). Listed as a Historic Monument in 1994, this flamboyant Gothic style church was built according to the will of the Lord of Stainville in the 15th century. The church has been almost entirely restored externally, it has kept its bell tower, several portals and beautiful starry vaults. The seigneurial chapel was connected to the castle by a bridge leading to the small Renaissance gate still visible on the southern transept. This seigneurial presence can also be seen in the traces of a funeral liter with the Morel family's arms.
