This castle, classified as a historical monument in 1994, is a rare example of preserved medieval architecture
It is said that Charlemagne came to hunt in the castle's lush forests. Its current form was built in 1338 by Geoffroy de Nancy. A rare example of preserved medieval architecture, it was listed as a Historic Monument in 1994. Its white, stocky mass, with its imposing, proud 22 m crenellated keep-porch, is reflected in its 30 m wide moat. Since 1989, an association has been working to restore and safeguard the site, organizing volunteer workcamps, conferences, guided tours and numerous events from spring onwards.

Il manque des façades mais le travail déjà réalisé est vraiment beau.
Une jolie balade.
Dommage que les panneaux à l'entrée ne soient pas lisibles.
