More than a century after the battle of Verdun, this show brings together 250 French and German actors and as many people behind the scenes for one of the most impressive sound and light shows ever. This strikingly realistic fresco is held in the Haudainville quarries, a natural setting where historical scenes from the Belle Époque to the reconstruction period are recreated, including scenes from the most appalling battle of the trench warfare.

In 1:20, the events of Belle Epoque are connected that will lead to the Great War. In the heart of the engagements, immerse yourself in the 'Hell of Verdun" with its daily lot of sufferings and agonies. Whether in the French and German trenches, soldiers suffer the same fate: cold, mud, lice and rats... with sometimes a little respite in the back despite the nights haunted by the fierce combats and often pretty.
Then you watch the drama of the evacuated civilians who will never find their village. And finally immense joy of the ` Armistice: the happiness of Peace found at the cost of million missing invalides, refugees...
Flames... "light" ends on a message hope: La Paix.
This message has a resonance particular to Verdun, symbol of reconciliation.
