BIBLIOTHÈQUE D'ÉTUDE
As part of the heritage of the Médiathèque du Grand Verdun (future L'Æncre), the Study Library is known for its medieval collections, its medieval manuscripts, and its Great War collection (photographs, postcards, posters, books). The institution holds a total of 898 manuscripts, 120 incunabula, 21,705 works dating from before 1800 and 23,919 19th century printed works. Also in its aisles, 100 masterpieces inherited from the Musée de la Princerie: archaeology, 19th century paintings, Argonne earthenware, traditional furniture from Lorraine and ancient weapons.
