Association structure with an exhibition space in Verdun, presenting a permanent exhibition entitled "From war to peace"

Since 1994, the World Center for Peace, Freedom and Human Rights has been housed in the superb Bishop's Palace, an 18th-century jewel of French classical art. Its mission is to provide answers to the question of how wars arise, and what can be done to maintain lasting peace. Its temporary exhibitions, which are regularly renewed, address important themes such as Franco-German relations, European integration and contemporary conflicts, all of which offer visitors a historical perspective. Complementary to the memorial sites, its programming is designed to be accessible to all audiences.

The extensive gift store features over 300 items (books, comics, children's books, etc.). Last but not least, the gardens offer a superb view of the city of Verdun, as well as a civic space accessible to all free of charge. A section of the Berlin Wall is particularly noteworthy.

A place of meditation for some, a place of curiosity for others, the World Peace Center leaves no one indifferent. Adjacent to the cathedral and housed in the bishop's palace, it is as remarkable for its architecture as for the symbolism it represents. A must-see.

With its numerous function rooms and group accommodation facilities, the visit can easily be adapted to seminars and retreats.
