THE ROAD TOWER
It is one of the first monuments you can see when you arrive in the city center. This door consists of two round towers connected by a portico. It was built in the xivth century by the rich liner and magistrate Jean Wautrec in a Gothic style, as witnessed by the gargouilles that lie on both sides. In 1880, the soldiers who thought it was too small would extend it but the inhabitants, attached to the monument, strongly opposed it. The bridge was then destroyed only and it was classified as historic heritage in order to preserve it. The wood herse is still being seen in the crossing.
