13 December 1920: the City and County of London Committee, intended to come to the aid of a French city devastated by war, chose Verdun, 85% destroyed in 1916. The London quay was financed in this way, a project that took 4 years to complete (1921-1924). Renovations have transformed it into a pleasant walk along the Meuse. Very popular, it is lined with cafés, bars, small and large restaurants. The "Musiques et terrasses" festival is usually organised there in summer...
