JEWISH CIMETERY
Old Jewish cemetery on the road to Alzing, a surprising place in Bouzonville that is full of history
Some graves date back to 1726! Some have Hebrew inscriptions and are decorated with the Star of David. Don't be surprised if you find stones on the graves, they are a sign that someone passed by to remember the deceased. The Jewish community was established here at the end of the 17th century. In the spring of 1944, thanks to the action of several Righteous, 14 Jewish families were able to escape the persecution perpetrated by the Nazis. A place of memory full of history, which can only be discovered by road.
