What is the origin of this curious stele of more than 700 kg? This mysterious stone goddess would go back to the Gallo-Roman period, historians think that it is Sirona, goddess of lunar light but there is no certainty on the subject. Nevertheless, after having spent several centuries at the bottom of a pond, it resurfaced in the 19th century, where it took its place in the property of the Villa-Louise (Sainte-Fontaine city) belonging to the rich Mangay family. Today, it is visible in the choir of the former Saint-Maurice church.
