Church decorated with remarkable murals illustrating religious and popular history, signed by Abbé Abé.
The village of Guermange is home to a jewel of sacred art. Its Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul church, built in 1729, features murals covering the entire interior and signed by Abbé Abé. It was on his return from a trip to Rome in the 1920s, fascinated by Giotto's frescoes, that he took up his brush. Over a period of ten years, he transformed his church, illustrating both religious and popular history. Sequential lighting with commentary accompanies the discovery.
