CHAPEL OF SAINT ANNE
Here is a somewhat enigmatic chapel.... In Gothic style, it has left no archive of its construction or history. Only a few snippets have reached us. The legend refers to a wandering statue of Saint Anne, which would have led to the construction of a chapel. The Bishop of Metz, Monsignor Ducambout de Coislin, consecrated the chapel in 1707. On the façade, the date 1838 is written, it corresponds to a restoration. Nowadays, believers gather to pray on Good Friday, the Sunday following Saint Anne's Day (July 26) for a mass and the following Monday for a mass for the deceased of the village. During heritage days, it is open from 2pm to 6pm. Guided tours for groups can be booked at the Val de Fensch tourist office.
