THE ARILS OF THE PLUMAÇON
The Plumaçon bullring welcomes headliners such as Paco Camino, Antonio Ordoñez and Jaime Ortoz
Built in 1889, consolidated and considerably enlarged in 1933 by architect Franck Bonnefous, the Plumaçon bullring is reminiscent of the Andalusian bullring. In 1960, they welcomed headliners such as Paco Camino, Antonio Ordoñez and Jaime Ortoz. A little later, the Mozart of toreo, the young Emilio Muñoz, was introduced to the South-West. The 7,129-seat bullring has been awarded the "Heritage of the 20th Century" label. They also come alive during the Fêtes de la Madeleine. In summer, the Tourist Office invites you to take a look behind the scenes!
