PARK JEAN RAMEAU
Park with remarkable plants and sculptures, a rich collection of beech trees, a Japanese garden and a play area
This park, named in tribute to the great Landes poet and novelist Jean Rameau, was created in 1793 to enable the cultivation of Landes pine. Turned into a public garden in 1947, it offers the chance to discover remarkable plants, fine plant collections and remarkable sculptures such as L'homme et la mort by Léon-Alexandre Delhomme or La chute des feuilles by Julien Lorieux. A children's play area, a kiosk, an open-air theater, a Japanese garden... This park is very pleasant in any season. Guided tours are organized in summer.

Members' reviews on PARK JEAN RAMEAU
The ratings and reviews below reflect the subjective opinions of members and not the opinion of The Little Witty.
+ Flowery with statues,
+ Shaded by very old trees,
+ Space games for children,
+ Red Fountain with fish,
- The winter and during the Celebrations of the Madeleine (July) inadvisable.
This park is very flowery and shaded.
There is at the foot of this an area for children with slides, swings and another games.
A fountain is also full of goldfish in the heart of the area.
The sunny days are preferable to promenade, it is true that in winter, it is less pleasant, because the vegetation is not.
Statues are also present on all the course of the park with little places on different themes, such as the Chinese theme.
