Typical and rhythmic terrace restaurant offering homemade food and products from local producers in Moustey.
In this old Landes-style building or in the shade of the parasols on the terrace, Le Gascon has the charm of these village "café-restaurants", so typical and punctuated by the sporting events broadcast on its television screens. But make no mistake about it, this brasserie does not compromise with the rigour and quality of its cuisine! In the ovens, only home-made and products from local producers are prepared: duck, farmhouse chicken from Chalosse, home-made sausages with duck, pork (flavoured for example with Espelette chilli pepper), etc. The menu reveals two gourmet specialities, accompanied by homemade fries, which have made the reputation of the establishment: the Carcasse royale - a whole duck breast stuffed with pan-fried foie gras with its creamy Armagnac and caramelised apple sauce (half an hour's wait, but your patience will be rewarded!) -, and the Assiette gasconne - a duck leg confit with slices of duck breast and pan-fried foie gras. Le Gascon also offers a wide range of pizzas, also entirely prepared in the kitchen, from dough to topping. To taste on the spot or to take away.

Dans l'assiette c'est très bien aussi. La spécialité est la viande, maturée si vous le souhaitez, bien cuite et de bonne qualité. J'étais avec mon compagnon et nous avons tous les deux pris des assiettes composées. Salade Gascon pour moi et une formule salade de foies de volaille avec émincés de bœuf pour mon compagnon qui mangeait là pour la troisième fois. Toutes les viandes étaient bonnes, les accompagnements, salade et frites, de bonne qualité aussi.
Le seul bémol est le prix. Un tantinet plus élevé que la moyenne mais je suppose que c'est dû à la qualité de la viande.
