In this old Landes-style building or in the shade of the parasols on the terrace, Le Gascon has the charm of these village "café-restaurants", so typical and punctuated by the sporting events broadcast on its television screens. But make no mistake about it, this brasserie does not compromise with the rigour and quality of its cuisine! In the ovens, only home-made and products from local producers are prepared: duck, farmhouse chicken from Chalosse, home-made sausages with duck, pork (flavoured for example with Espelette chilli pepper), etc. The menu reveals two gourmet specialities, accompanied by homemade fries, which have made the reputation of the establishment: the Carcasse royale - a whole duck breast stuffed with pan-fried foie gras with its creamy Armagnac and caramelised apple sauce (half an hour's wait, but your patience will be rewarded!) -, and the Assiette gasconne - a duck leg confit with slices of duck breast and pan-fried foie gras. Le Gascon also offers a wide range of pizzas, also entirely prepared in the kitchen, from dough to topping. To taste on the spot or to take away.
