HÔTEL DU THÉÂTRE * * *
This hotel is disappointing. It requires work to welcome customers in the best conditions. Being in the water causes discomfort due to humidity. Admittedly, the Hôtel du Théâtre enjoys a prime location, in the heart of the Saint-Marcel marina overlooking an arm of the Moselle and just next to the great Protestant Temple. You will also be only a few steps from the city centre and Saint-Étienne Cathedral. To wander a little further, a "Mettis" stop is located a few dozen meters from the establishment. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, mini-bar, telephone, satellite TV, high-speed Internet on request, but you will have to pay a little more to access the comfort of a private whirlpool bath, or be satisfied with the overflow pool. The various lounges available allow seminars to be held. Finally, this 3-star hotel is a member of Symboles de France and Demeures de tradition, and has made this distinction its main asset.

The wheelchair accessible handicapped room was exceptionally good! The bathroom had plenty of space for maneuverability. There is also a special wheelchair entrance/exit to the building. The staff were uniformly gracious and helpful. The breakfast and lobby bar were good. The location was ideal for us, near the river and restaurant options.
