FAUX MOUVEMENT
Welcome to False Movement, a place of initiation to contemporary art implanted in Metz since 1983. Stimulating curiosity, raising awareness, forming eyes, democratizing art and its current abuses, here is the project! Multidisciplinary, it places itself at the junction of several artistic practices, between plastic arts, photo and multimedia. Encounters between artists, works and audiences succeed in a spirit of exchange and constant development. Four or five exhibitions and six or seven different windows each year present regional but also international artists. Maryse's motto, the director? Art, far from being reserved for an elite, is addressed to all. That's why False Movement offers out-of-wall exhibitions, in school settings (school, school, etc.) or hospital (CHU Mercy in particular). The goal? Going to meet the other, awakening his sensibility, awakening in him unsuspected emotions… A whole pole of initiative places art at the service of the social, particularly in helping the disadvantaged (prison) or disabled. Decorative workshops are offered to teenagers, history to see that art belongs to everyone…
