Since 1969, the gallery Raymond Banas has highlighted painting and contemporary photography. Located in the Maison de la Culture et des Loisirs, it welcomes 4 to 6 artists per year. The convoluted but pleasant space allows to discover contemporary art through carefully selected works. The gallery plays a leading role as it forms part of the popular education action claimed by the house. Accessible for the quidam of transition, it also addresses children. An educational and mediation project accompanies every exhibition so that the young public can take ownership and work around contemporary art by discovering the exhibited artist. This gallery does not depend on the art market. The freedom it demonstrates greatly promotes the encounter with creation.
