Ah, the Relay of Metz Station... with its newspapers, magazines, catchy titles, comfort items, sweets, and fresh drinks... Here's what you can do for your train trip! But beyond these displays, there, at the back of the room, the decor changes. A few steps, and one is transported back... as if in an atmosphere of another era. The traveller enters a pleasant and surprising place: an oversized room, in the neo-novel style of the station itself, formerly the Payot Bookstore, now taken over by Fnac. For a little history, it used to be the waiting room for 2nd and 3rd class travellers. Stroll around the tables where the latest releases are displayed, books on the history of Lorraine, or in the sections dedicated to broader literature. You can also find smartphones and accessories, DVDs, CDs, or children's games. A diverse cultural offering that allows travellers to patiently wait before catching their train!
