Since 2011, the municipality of Metz has resumed this service, which disappeared in 2007. In case of loss of an object, visit Chambière Street at the municipal police premises. This is where all objects found or lost on the public road are centralized, or the dependencies accessible to all (private buildings, shops, cafes, public gardens… public transport… except SNCF and TCRM). Here you will also receive the items found by taxis and the Police Hotel. Any small object can be approved (umbrella, glasses, wallet, keys, bags, mobile phones, jewellery, books… and even the doudou of the last) as well as the cash and administrative parts. The service retains these items longer or less, according to their recognized value (from one month to one and a half years).
