It is not a place of long-term accommodation but rather a relay. Among the young people aged 17 to 25 of French or foreign nationality who spend time in this residence of 192 fully equipped units, most are apprentices. All rooms include at least a shower, a sink, toilets and cable television. Espace Pilatre also offers studios or other small accommodations, this time with the addition of a kitchen. The rates vary according to the housing subsidies and various allowances. We do not talk about rent but about fees: it includes the rent and the charges. Within the walls of this residence, social workers and night watchmen ensure a certain follow-up and a serene security for all. In addition, breakfast and unlimited free internet access are provided. Single meals are available (half-board no longer exists) except on Sundays, the only day without meals. Two other residences in the agglomeration: Les Saules (118 rooms, in Le Sablon) and Le Tardillon (29 furnished studios, in Montigny), welcome couples in furnished studios or small apartments.
