L'Ami Hebdo Moselle is published on Fridays, but is hard to find on newsstands as most readers are subscribers. This weekly, descended from the distant Metzer katholisches Volksblatt (literally: Journal catholique de Metz), covers all local, regional and national news in its 32 pages. It's also a mine of information on events. Authorized to publish legal notices since 1883 in Metz, L'Ami remains an essential part of the Moselle press. In a sign of the times, since 2013 it has been possible to subscribe to L'Ami Hebdo (Lorraine or Alsace, or both!) on a touchscreen tablet. A multitude of formulas are offered on the site to suit your desires, and the press group also publishes L'Ami Sports. Published monthly, L'Ami Sports provides analytical coverage of major sports-related issues.
