ROCK STREET
The rue des Roches is so named because in the past it was often flooded by the etchings of the Moselle. Rich in history, it is raised near ancient Roman and medieval fortifications. In the Middle Ages, all kinds of trades were present: chauriers, fishermen and boatmen.... It is easy to fall under the spell of this narrow and picturesque street with the appearance of an Italian alley. Following in the footsteps of the travellers of yesteryear, we like to look up to observe its old irregular houses concealing the splendour of Saint-Étienne Cathedral. If you barely dare to venture into it, by day it judiciously links the lake to the historic heart of the city.
