Place hosting the charming opera-theater of Metz, it has a central fountain and offers a beautiful night view.
The Place de la Comédie is home to the opera-theater, which was built from 1738 to 1749. This 18th century masterpiece, designed by the Messinian architect Oger, remains the first stone civil theater in France and thus the oldest French theater in operation. When evening comes, the majestic silhouette of its magnificently lit architecture is an ode to beauty. In summer, flowerbeds and ephemeral gardens surround the central fountain. From here, you will undoubtedly have one of the most beautiful night views in Metz.
