Street linking the city center to the top of Sainte-Croix hill
During antiquity, Taison Street was one of the major crossroads of the city, as there was cardo and decumanus maximus, which then traveled all the Roman Empire to connect Marseille to Tribes via Metz. Then Saint Clément arrived and, when he decided to fight the legendary dragon Graoully, he went down the street by saying «let us taunt, let us pray», so as not to awaken the monster, symbol of paganism. Emblematic, the Graoully is now suspended above multiple signs. Taison Street connects the city center to the top of the hill Sainte-Croix where you can see the hotel de la Bulette, then the Hotel Saint-Livier. These architectures testify to the grandeur of the city in medieval times. A lively street with no charm!

Cette rue, qui vous emmène à la colline Sainte Croix, fait partie des rues les plus belles de la ville de Metz qui s'appelait Mettis. Cette rue Taison est l'ancienne voie romaine de l'époque ! À voir absolument !
